22 strings
Big chill bitting and we're on all sorts of trails, but all of them lead to a soft glow each night. The shows are an ongoing conversation and the warmth and joy in the room is palpable and touching. It all feels fresh and in the middle of it all I’m lost in the joy of being able to play the music and feel relevant and alive. Also, in these tough days, its humbling to see so many coming out and breaking our house records.I have 22 strings on stage each night and they all have a job. They carry a lot of weight for without them there is no train. The words would hang in the air but not travel very far. But get that poetry on board a carriage and we're away; whistling down the tracks and gathering together big and small stories that echo through the canyons we pass through. Not just me singing with the 22 pieces of steel either, no sir, the voices of many, all feeling that we can do something, we can lay more track, we can take on water and fuel and keep the beauty rolling on. Even after all these miles we still pick those with a ticket for the first time and they get it. And those that have journeyed many times still come back for more destinations, more twists and turns, more..moments of catching ourselves thinking..yes. Hope you can hear us rushing through and please jump the train any time you like.
