Holland 2011
Day off in Amsterdam. Had forgotten how hard the wind blows in Holland. So just as the long schedule of 2010 become’s dust then were up and at them again. I’m in mainland Europe for shows in Holland and Belgium that are being promoted by a new agency I’m with here called ‘Lucky Dice Music’. Have played three shows so far and they have all been great. It was good to play in Amsterdam again, the last time having been around five years ago opening for Suzanne Vega when I played the ‘Paradiso’. Hope to do so again in my own right soon. Pic shows Welsh songwriter on my knees in Asse, Belgium on Saturday night. Please note the broad smile despite defeat to the English in Cardiff on Friday night. Glad I was hiding away in Spijkeboor (now there’s a name) at the time.Lots of things brewing away. Have seen some of the first footage of the film we shot at the Southampton Brook show and its looking promising so hopefully we can get that out soon. Have been writing some songs and learning my way around new studio software on which I mixed some live tracks for the next free PQ CD coming out in March. We have also been going through an extensive web site overhaul and will have the exciting new vehicle ready for your viewing very soon.Have another six shows here in Holland before returning home for a few days before flying to Canada for a long haul of six weeks. The first few days will be very sweet though as hockey playing son Stefan is coming with me and we are going to catch three NHL games before I send him home and then Dad carries on to play music. Nice. Can’t believe the long list of dates already on the web site for this year but I’m not complaining. More observational diary entries will no doubt follow but for now were on our way in 2011.
