Sad day
Drove to Brighton today and sang at the funeral of Richard Gist. He was only 39 and just three years ago i sang at his wedding to Ruth Harding. It seems awfully cruel and unfair. It was especially hard to see his young children suffering. Richard loved music and it seemed right to sing him one last song, it was also an honour. After the service i found myself talking to Sam Hammam, the owner of Cardiff City F.C. He seems like a nice guy though i know he has his critics. Drove back home to Cardiff and, though there wasnt much daylight left, took Daniel and Stefan out to play a few holes. As i watched them playing i felt blessed just to be with them; we take so much for granted.
