to Belgium..and single info

Flying to Belgium in the morning. Have just finished the mixing of the tracks for the single and I’m pleased with it. I think it’s a bit out of sync now to call this an-anti war project, though it certainly is, it’s a more a comment on the times.The track listing is; The Great American Novel..first time ever recorded as a studio project The Good In Me Is Dead..from Far From Silent Arizona Dreams..new studio recording Swansea..new studio recording War Baby.. live version from the FFA tour last year. This will eventually appear on the full FFA live album to be released in 2004. The feel is very much ‘in your face’ and I think it might do some good. All profits will go to War Child, and it may open some doors due to its content and style. Just need you folks to order it through the shops when we tell you, more details will be issued through the emailing service, which you can sign up for on the site. Anyhow, we will see.. Obviously the War continues to dominate most of our thought space, but I was deeply saddened by the suicide of a father in North Wales last night who killed his three young children as well. Such despair and hurt in so many folks lives, it just makes me stop and gaze nowhere sometimes, it can overwhelm one.. Must be very cheery reading my diary! Sorry folks, hey I laugh and smile every day, I’m a blessed man and sometimes a happy one, but I can’t divorce my head from the reality of the full picture that takes on all life. Bruce Springsteen is on the road again and is opening his shows with ‘War’..what is it good for etc. He also said ‘Nobody wins unless everybody wins’ and I like those words.
