Huntingdon hall, Worcester with Nigey Nige

The Huntingdon Hall is our venue for this evening.I am glad to see the crew in fine spirits because my day started off dreadfully and included setting off a speed camera(I thought it was the lighting guy from the gig in Cambridge behind me )The sound in the room was absolutely amazing. Martyn's voice and guitar sounded Huge. Mike got the sound perfect and our soundcheck didn't last very long at all. When the show started, the audience were instantly in tune with Martyn's songs. In the first set, "The Good in me is dead" was fantastic. Very emotive and Powerful. Martyn made a joke about the song he would play if he was to play at a wedding and a couple in the 3rd row said they had asked him 18 months ago and his reply was that he didn't do weddings. He added that this was the song he would do if he was to play at a wedding and we struck up the opening chords to "a Gift to me". It sounded Awesome.Going Home" opened the second set. Martyn's chat about being 10p short of his toll for the Crossing of the Severn Bridge in to Wales was greeted by the raining of 10 & 20ps from the audience. It was the biggest financial haul of the tour to Date. So all I ask for the remaining venues is that from 26th November onwards, Martyn will be £1.00 short and that credit cards, Visa and Switch cards are accepted. Cheques must be accompanied by a guarantee card. We performed brilliantly and there were moments like " The Ballad of Dic Penderyn","a Good Man" and "Cardiff bay where the audience were captivated by Martyn's performance. One thing as a musician you have to be able to do is convey the Message of your music to the audience. I have learned from this tour that two people can become one on stage. You have to listen to each other, be the other person, live inside their head and understand their emotional state during that particular song. If you have seen the show, then you will understand the level of intensity on stage between Martyn and myself. If you have not, come along and experience it for yourselfThe staff at the venue were wonderful and I reflect on the Cambridge gig and think of the monster P.A. system there and how small , but fantastic the P.A was at the Huntingdon Hall. A night the Audience will never forget and for me, I am one step closer to becoming Martyn's musical telepathic twin. "You can't hide your guitar away from me Mr. Joseph and Disguise the timing of your last chord. We are almost one".Nigey Nige signing off
