Me and Knightley

Going nicely it is. First show in East Coker we felt things out a bit, which always makes for an interesting time, it was cool, and the other two shows have rocked. Well, as much as they can seeing Steve is an old folkie! I`m looking forward to the rest of it now that we are in the swing. Its also improving my geography of England as Steve brings me to gems of population that were hidden to my eyes before now. I`m taking advantage of my last few days at home now. We are off again on Wednesday and there is only one day off then before this tour and my flight to America and then Canada. As i`m out there for three and a half weeks it means this is another long jaunt away from home. The job is, for the most part, a joy but it never gets easier to leave home. The new song book is on its way now and it will be good to get this out. I can learn how to play the songs properly then! Its hard work listening to news bullitins. I cant see a way in which there will not be a war with Iraq, but only because peace isnt on the agenda. George Bush says he is running out of patience with Saddam, which i think is a remarkable and telling statement. The patience that are running out will be the cause of death and destruction, the loss of thousands of innocents to say nothing of young men and women in the armed forces, huge instability in a world already rocking and realing..but George is running out of patience..we cannot afford power to men of such makeup. Too late i guess.
