Sunday - day 5, Cardiff

Big day today, Cardiff St Davids hall, always such an emotive gig for me, friends and family in attendance. Cardiff Devils were playing Nottingham tonight so we went across for the first period. Mike had arranged for me to drop the puck in the ceremonial face-off. I was far more nervous about that than the gig! I managed to drag him onto the ice too and he was given a standing ovation by 2000 people, he was loved by the fans in Cardiff and boy do we miss himOver the road after the first period ended. The usual warmth and atmosphere greated me and the night was good. It is hard to describe how it feels to sing some of the stuff at home, the gig seems to fly by and i'm happy at the end, it goes well, very well. Only problem at the end was that the bar couldnt stay open as it was a Sunday so the fifty or so guests waiting to pile into the green room were unable to get a drink. Some of us eventually settled for a near by wine bar where we stay until the wee hours
