After his USA tour was canceled in late March because of Covid 19 Martyn pondered whether it was something he should be writing about.

“I didn’t want it to look like I was trying to make gain from the tragic time let alone come up with something that could be seen as sentimental or twee. But one morning I wrote a few lines about the possible positives that could come from such a dark time and it came together pretty quickly.”

Recorded at his home studio in Wales ‘When We Get Through This’ coupled with a new recording of Nye was released as a digital double A side and went to number one on the UK iTunes and Amazon singer songwriter charts. Both those recordings are now released on this physical EP, along with a beautiful acoustic version of ‘When We get Through This’, a haunting new version of ‘On My Way’, a brand new song called ‘Come To Be’, a co write with long time Canadian friend Doug Simpson and the first studio acoustic recording of ‘Here Come The Young’. Kathy Richardson’s stunning cover photograph adds grace to the package and makes this a must buy for MJ fans.
